Why teams choose the skills matrix

You define which skills each role requires and at what level. Pluvo sets them against what your employees have already achieved, so you can see the gap per person, team and role.

Define skills with levels

Not 'Excel skills', but 'Excel: basic, advanced, expert'. You add labels: urgent, industry standard, or nice to have. That way an employee knows what their role expects of them, and you know what you're steering towards.

Insight per person, per team, per role

Pluvo turns the certificates achieved into a matrix per person, team and role. You see which skills are present, where one is missing and who can bring a colleague up to speed. As soon as a certificate is issued, it appears in the matrix.

Link skills to certificates

A skill is made up of certificates, and those certificates are attached to a learning journey or a session. When someone completes the learning journey or attends the session, the certificate comes in. Once all certificates are in, the skill is achieved.

Nothing slips through

Record mandatory knowledge per role

For some roles a skill isn't a wish but a requirement. You define per role which certificates are mandatory. Pluvo tracks who has them and who doesn't, and alerts the team leader as soon as someone falls behind. They see straight away who it concerns and which certificate is missing, and put the employee on the relevant learning journey or session. Come audit time, you pull the overview straight from the system.

Expiry dates and renewal

Some certificates expire after a few years. You set the validity period, and Pluvo works out for itself when someone is due again. You choose how many days, weeks or months in advance the reminder arrives, so there's time to plan. The manager sees who is coming up for renewal and registers those people for the learning journey or session that delivers the certificate.

Everyone knows their part

Shared responsibility

Development often stalls because manager and employee have a different picture of what still needs to happen. In Pluvo they look at the same overview: which certificates are in, which are still open and what's needed to get them. The employee sees their own portfolio, the manager sees the picture for the whole team. That way the development conversation is about the substance, not about who should have kept track of what.

Frequently asked questions about the skills matrix

How to define skills, link them to certificates and track who has achieved what.

Does Pluvo integrate with our HR system?

Yes. Pluvo integrates with AFAS, SAP, ADP, and other HR systems. Employee data, job changes, and competency profiles synchronize automatically.

What is a skill management system?

A skill management system is software that allows organizations to map employee skills, identify gaps, and implement targeted development programs. In Pluvo, you combine competency management with learning and certification in a single platform.

How do I know if Pluvo is the right skill management system for us?

At Pluvo, we only enter into partnerships when we are convinced it is a great match. Schedule a call, and we will look at your competency goals together and how Pluvo can help you achieve them.

How do I link skills to training sessions?

In Pluvo, you link skills to certificates. Those certificates are attached to a learning journey or session. Once the learning journey is completed or the session attended, the certificate is issued. Once an employee has earned all the certificates within a skill, the skill is achieved.

Can I import existing competency frameworks?

Yes. You can set up competency profiles, job descriptions, and skill levels in Pluvo. Our service team will help you translate your existing framework into the platform.
